How KareHero Helped a Carer Manage his Parents' Care Alongside a Job and a Family of his Own

Scott was in a meeting when his phone rang. It was his next door neighbour.

His mother had just been seen walking off down the street. Five minutes later, his father followed, out the door and off in a different direction, no shoes, no socks.

He dropped everything and drove around the village until he found them both.

That call set the pattern for what came next: doctor's appointments, hospital stays, his parents' house, their finances, his own family - all of it landing on top of a full-time job. "The main challenge is trying to fit everything in around the care," he says.

Behind it all sat a system that made everything harder to navigate. "Negotiating through the financial and the care system itself is a very convoluted and confusing system," Scott says.

That's when he turned to KareHero.

"Having KareHero take that responsibility away from me certainly gave me more time," Scott says. He didn't use it to catch up on admin. He used it to be with his parents properly, not just visiting and ticking off tasks, and to be more present with his own family too.

For Scott, that meant getting his time back, and choosing where it went.
